I encountered a traumatic experience in a hospital whist on holiday in Greece. The operation and treatment I received was not was explained to me. I slipped and fell fracturing my elbow. I was led to believe that because of the nature of the fracture it would need expertise in fixing, which meant an expert in this field would be flown in, this was a lie. In effect they filled arm with rubbish and removed healthy tissue. A metal frame was installed with metal rods inserted into bone, which I was later advised served no purpose at all. I eventually arrived home in the UK, and speedily seen by Mr Gupta and his team in OrthopaedicS. If it had not been for him I dread to think what might have happened. I am now fully recovered, except for some minor nerve damage caused by the first op in Greece. I thank Mr Gupta & the staff at St Peter’s & Ashford Hospital, they have been amazing.
Had a wonderful appointment with Dr Daniel Martins who saw me on really short notice due to an issue with my appointment on the database, and thankyou to the receptionist too for sorting out the issue so quickly! He was really helpful and made sure I understood how to do the exercises and why they would help me in the long run. Thanks again physiotherapy department
I have always had excellent care and attention over the many years I have had treatment there. brilliant Hospital.
It is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful
I didn't have my procedure at St Peter's, but my clinic appointments were held at St Peters where I found the CEMIG staff and Blanche unit to be very helpful and kind and understanding.
I have attended the hospital on many occasions and have no complaints. The staff are all very caring and I feel confident in the care that they provide. I recently had an operation that was carried out by Mr. Majdumdar and the outcome could not be better for me. I have also had recent treatment from the cardiac team which has prolonged my life and I cannot thank them enough. It is a very good hospital.
I’ve always has great care at St Peter’s and at The Blanche Heriot Unit the staff are not just professional but warm and empathetic.
St Peters Hospital has treated me for a number of medical conditions recently. This included being admitted to one of the wards as an in-patient. I have always been treated with dignity and respect. I have received first class care and medical treatment from all the doctors who have looked after me. I have no suggestions for improvement
Under the care of Mr Narvani for a shoulder replacement. Treated so well and kept informed throughout. My shoulder replacement is so successful that it has changed my life. I can now independently and can perform all tasks as I did before having a shoulder problem. Appointments are on time and I have been treated so well that I am so grateful to Mr Narvani
This was my first experience as an in-patient at St. Peters and I was hugely impressed by every element of the care that I received - as reflected by the totally deserved maximum satisfaction scores I have given.
What particularly stood out for me was the good-humoured, heplful and highly professional attitude of the Ward staff at every level. Despite being constantly under pressure they always responded positively to the needs that I and my fellow patients had.
I should add another plaudit that is not covered in this patient experience survey. This regards the meals that were served to me during my stay on Swift Ward. In summary, they were first-class - not at all what I had expected - and deserve highlighting. Both the selection and food quality were excellent.
